After retirement, from FACT and my wife Mrs Annalakshmy from KSEB in 2003. We decided to settle in Calicut, though we owned our ancestral home at Nilambur. We purchased a flat at Puthiyara in 2003 and later shifted to a more spacious flat at ACE Silver Springs, Chaliyil, Mankave in 2005.
Our daughter, Vidya and Son-in-law Sajeev planned to build an independent house (villa) at Calicut. During their routine vacation in 2013, they searched for an ideal location. My friend Sri.K.Madhavan (Who Retired from SBT) had finalised a villa at Prisunic Gardens, He suggested Plot No 9, and in a short span of 20-25 days, the plan finalisation, documentation etc of the 2142 sq ft villa No 9 was completed.
All of us were very happy with the Plan. Wooden doors and shutters, Vitrified floor tiles and well ventilated rooms and good quality construction in all aspects were finalised. After completion, we moved into this villa on January 15th, 2015 after Ganapathi Homam and Vastu Pooja.
A small function to honour the Sthapathis(construction mesthiris and workers) was organised. The management and staff of Prisunic Builders, along with Sri. Asif Elat(Exicutive Director) attended the function and handed over the keys of villa No 9.
All our friends and relatives who attended the house warming function( on 25th January) expressed very good opinion on the lay out of the Prisunic Garden, quality of construction of the project.
